Dr. K. Malik Jackson joins us from The University of Maryland in Baltimore City.  He completed his preliminary year of training in Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Jackson earned his M.D. and Masters degree in a combined program at the Medical College of Pennsylvania & Hahnemann University School of Medicine located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

His academic interests include genetics and anesthetic implications, specifically how variations in individual receptors morphology may affect drug metabolism and may predict patient response to anesthetic agents.  He is also interested in virtual reality simulation, as an educational tool for medical students and resident physicians.

His clinical interests and expertise in anesthesiology include high risk obstetrics, cardiac, transplant, neuro, and trauma.

Outside of clinical medicine, Dr. Jackson holds a black belt degree in TaeKwon-Do, is a certified personal trainer, enjoys spending time with family & friends, and is a sports car enthusiast.
